Picking and Packing A Service to Business- A real life Pick and Pack example.

A container containing loose cartons of stationary products arrives at one of our commercial storage centres from the USA. The cartons are not palletised, not packed in order, simply packed to fill the available space. The cartons need to be unloaded and placed in (SKUs) stock keeping units on pallets.

The container inventory is checked against the manifest and the client informed of any damages, discrepancies or omissions. The stock information is entered into the Storage Peterborough database and cross referenced to the customer’s own data. Email orders are received electronically in .csv format and imported into our order system.

The goods are picked and packed ready for delivery directly to the client’s customers in the UK and beyond. Mixed SKU consignments are collated and prepared for dispatch. Collection of consignments for delivery is made and signed off. The stock database is automatically updated and a client report is issued if required. Damaged and returned goods are delivered to the warehouse via carrier and checked for inspection by the client.
